Loftware CPO Michelle Northey Named 2026 Women in Supply Chain Forum Trailblazer

Loftware Chief Product Officer Michelle Northey has been named a recipient of the 2026 Women in Supply Chain Forum™ Award in the Trailblazers category, the Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based product identification software company announced Aug. 17.
The award is presented by Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The Trailblazers category honors female leaders who continue to pave the way for future females in logistics, and requires at least 10 years of documented experience in supply chain and logistics. Northey appears in the Trailblazers section of the program’s published winners list, which also names Hannah Kain, president and CEO of ALOM, as the overall Trailblazer winner. The four overall category winners will take the stage at the Women in Supply Chain Forum, Nov. 17-19 in Charleston, South Carolina.
The 2026 program drew more than 300 submissions, of which 70 were self-submissions — the highest number of self-nominated applications in the award’s six-year history — and 44 came from male counterparts, also a program record. Nearly 28% of submissions came from nominees in transportation, followed by software and technology at 21% and warehousing at 14%.
As chief product officer, Northey leads Loftware’s global product strategy, product management, product marketing, user experience and learning experience. The company credits her with leading the strategy and launch of Loftware Connect, the supplier collaboration platform Loftware introduced April 14 and described at the time as the most significant technology launch in its history. The platform is designed to distribute and govern product identification requirements across trading partners, with the stated aim of allowing companies to change labeling requirements without disrupting suppliers.
Loftware also attributes to Northey’s tenure customer results including average savings of $1.3 million in operations costs and $750,000 in avoided regulatory fines per event. Both figures are company-reported and Loftware did not disclose the customer sample, time period or methodology behind them.
“Michelle has been instrumental in transforming how our customers connect, collaborate, and innovate,” said Jim Bureau, president and CEO of Loftware, in a statement. “Her ability to work with customer challenges and transform them into scalable, forward-looking solutions has helped position Loftware at the forefront of supply chain transformation.”
Northey brings more than 25 years of enterprise SaaS product leadership experience to the role. Loftware said she is also leading the company’s AI product strategy, embedding AI into both the product roadmap and internal product execution, with work spanning AI-driven automation, intelligent insights and enablement capabilities aimed at regulatory readiness and traceability. Loftware did not specify when Northey joined the company.
“I’m honored to receive this recognition alongside so many inspiring women who are shaping the future of supply chains,” Northey said in a statement. “This award reflects the incredible collaboration of our teams, our customers, and our partners. Together, we’re helping organizations build more adaptive, resilient, and intelligent supply chains that improve performance and efficiency at scale.”
