Starbucks has appointed Heather Ostis as its new senior vice president and chief procurement officer of global supply chain. The news was announced on LinkedIn. Ostis will focus on driving efforts that alleviate constraints, strengthen supplier relationships, enhance supplier performance and deliver supply network resiliency to serve Starbucks employees and customers.

Prior to joining Starbucks in January, Ostis served as the vice president of Supply Chain Management at Delta Air Lines, where she oversaw the airline’s end-to-end global strategic sourcing operations and supply chain systems.

In her LinkedIn Post, she said, “As I step through the doors of Starbucks, I am excited to build upon the impact and excellence of their Mission, Promises, and Values. I am looking forward to discovering and nurturing the limitless possibilities of human connection with every cup, conversation, community, and partners.”

Ostis’ focus at Delta included a commitment to sustainable sourcing in support of Delta’s Path to Sustainability, implementing Delta’s Source to Pay platform, collaborating on Delta’s IT and cloud transformation, and significantly growing Delta’s supplier diversity spend.

Ostis joined Delta from Aramark, where she served as their Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain. Prior to Aramark, she led the global consolidation of the Wyndham Worldwide Supply Chain.

Ostis earned her B.S. in finance from Indiana University, and her MBA from George Mason University.
